Family and School Attendance Workers
Village Mind provides tailored assistance to families in or on the verge of crisis and to schools to seeking to improve concerning areas of attendance.
Village Key Workers will be the primary point of contact for families, schools and external agencies. They are inclusive and holistic working through agreed objectives, tracking progress as well as maintaining and providing records and reports.
Our Village Key Workers have a profound understanding of family barriers and dynamics and are experienced in engaging with families from diverse backgrounds as well as operating in various settings, including homes, schools, and locations in the community. They offer guidance, support and practical assistance.
Village Key workers are well trained in keeping children and young people at the centre of all approaches, interventions and decisions made, so you can have peace of mind and space to focus on your core priorities.
Family Engagement Specialists
Family engagement specialists serve as a bridge fostering communication, trust, and collaboration between families, schools, and communities to support pupil success.
By facilitating events and providing communication channels for parents and carers to engage outside of curriculum related expectations, they ensure schools are satisfying OFSTED’s requirements whilst building environments that parents and carers are also supported in.
Parent and Carer Safeguarding Training
We offer a UK first!!! Safeguarding training for parents and carers.
We have devised this training to equip parents and carers with knowledge and skills that will help them better protect children and young people from various forms of harm, particularly in today’s climate. Our training covers topics such as abuse, the social care system and effective communication with children.
We encourage direct interaction and provide spaces for questions and discussions to build villages and enhance the understanding and retention of the information shared.
